1. How often should I change my disposable pad?

We recommend changing your pad every 6-8 hours, or sooner if it feels wet or uncomfortable. On heavier flow days, you may need to change more frequently to stay comfortable and supported.

2. Can I wear disposable pads overnight?

Yes. Our pads are designed for both day and night use. For overnight or heavier flow, we recommend choosing the Super Pads or Max Pads for added absorbency and coverage, it’s all about what works best for your flow.

3. How should I dispose of used pads?

After use, wrap the pad in toilet roll, its wrapper or and dispose of it in the bin. Do not flush pads, as this can cause blockages and environmental harm.

4. Can I use disposable pads alongside other period products?

Absolutely! Many people use pads alongside menstrual cups or reusable products for added confidence, lighter days, or overnight protection. There’s no right or wrong way, choose what feels best for you.

5. Do disposable pads cause odour?

With regular changing, odour should be minimal. Our pads are breathable, fragrance-free, hypoallergenic, and free from chlorine and dioxin bleaching, helping reduce irritation and unwanted smells without masking them with artificial scents.

How To Use Your Menstrual Cup:

1. Wash your hands before touching the menstrual cup. 

2. Wash the cup inside and out, with mild soap and warm water, then rise off the soap.

3. Find a comfortable position. Some people prefer squatting, raising one leg up, in the shower - do what works best for you, especially during your first use. 

4. Fold the menstrual cup to insert it easily into the vagina. There are a variety of fold methods, our instructions manual includes this and also tips for inserting! 

5. Relax your muscles as much as possible.

6. Insert the menstrual cup toward your tailbone. Use one hand to spread your labia and the other to hold the folded cup, gently pushing at an angle into the vaginal opening. 

7. Rotate the menstrual cup to  ensure it forms a seal. You might hear or feel the cup “pop" open. To check, use your finger to feel the base of the cup.

2. How often should I empty the Menstrual Cup?

Depending on your flow, it’s recommended to empty the cup every 4-12 hours. On lighter days, you might only need to empty it every 12 hours, while on heavier days, more frequent emptying might be necessary. Always ensure you have a clean, private space for emptying and rinsing your cup when out and about. 

3. How do I clean and maintain a Menstrual Cup?

Proper cleaning and maintenance are crucial for ensuring the longevity and effectiveness of your Menstrual Cup. 

1. Empty: Remove the cup, empty the content into the toilet. 

2. Rinse: Rinse the cup with cold water to remove any residue. 

3. Wash: Clean the cup with mild,  unscented soap and water. 

4. Sterilise: Boil the cup in water for 5-10 minutes before and after each menstrual cycle.

5. Store: Keep the cup in your LAM storage pouch between uses.

Avoid using harsh chemicals or scented products to clean the cups, as these can damage the silicone, irritate sensitive skin, and compromise the cup’s hygiene.

4. How should I store my Menstrual Cup between cycles?

Once your cup is clean and completely dry, store it in the LAM storage pouch provided. Do not place it in an airtight container, as moisture can encourage bacterial growth.

5. Can I use my menstrual cup in public restrooms?

Yes. If there’s no sink available, you can empty the cup into the toilet and rinse it with a small bottle of water in the cubicle, then clean more thoroughly later when you have access to a basin.

6. Can I use lubricants with my Menstrual Cup?

You can use a water-based lubricant to help with insertion if needed, but avoid oil-based products as they can damage the silicone. Always follow insertion guidance and ensure hands are clean.

1. How do I clean and care for my Reusable Pads?

Proper care is essential to prolonging the life of your pads. Here's a simple 5 steps guide.

1. Rinse the menstrual pad stained with blood under cold running water. This can remove 70-90% of the bloodstains.

2. Soak the pad in cold water for 30 minutes before washing. 

3. Apply detergent or soap (preferably non-sulphate or weakly acidic products) to the remaining stains, then gently scrub the fabric in warm water (about 30°C) OR machine wash, water temperature (under 95F).

4. Thoroughly rinse out any soap with clean water and wash boldly! (Be cautious: do not use hot water, as blood will coagulate with heat. Keep the water temperature around 30°C.) 

5. Hang them up to air-dry or dry in the dryer on medium, until the pads are completely dry. Fold neatly, and store in the  for the next use!

Yes! Our 4-layer protection system makes them ideal for light bladder leakage and postpartum use. They are soft, breathable, highly absorbent, leak-proof and plastic-free.

6. Do Reusable Pads smell?

With proper rinsing and washing, reusable pads tend to stay fresh. Their breathable materials help moisture evaporate, which can reduce odours compared to plastic-based disposables. If needed, a cold soak in water with a bit of baking soda or vinegar before washing may help.
